Change Management

A 2016 KPMG Global Transformation study found that 96% of organizations reported they were undergoing business transformations, but only 47% expected to realize sustainable value from those efforts. This is because, on average, 70% of change efforts fail leading to increased volatility and uncertainty at the organizational level and change fantigue at the employee stakeholder level. At St Fleur Consulting, we bring more than 20 years of change management expertise to support the successful execution of your change efforts.
Readiness Assessments
One of the key drivers of a change effort’s success is the degree to which the organization is committed to the change effort – in spirit and in practice – for the long haul. We identify the best readiness assessment models and tools appropriate for your organization so that your leaders have a robust snapshot of their stakeholder buy-in, leadership support for the change vision, availability of hard (money) and soft (time) resources, and where the change effort fits in terms of prioritization.
Strategic Planning
The purpose of a strategic plan is to capture the alignment that a group of leaders share for the vision and direction of their organization. Yet, the clock speed of business is so accelerated now that strategic plans must be much more elastic to support the changing needs of an organization. At St Fleur Consulting, we match the planning horizon of our strategy development to the needs of your business to become an operational roadmap for implementing your shared vision and strategic priorities.
Organizational Design
Organizations function most optimally when systems, processes, and procedures work in concert to support human endeavors. Yet, for most organizations, systems are not integrated and processes are designed in silos. At St Fleur Consulting, we bring a “fresh eyes” approach to reviewing the interdependence between people, processes, and systems to reshape and we redesign to ensure that the organization is leveraging its infrastructure to enable human potential at every level of the organization.
Resistance Management
During a change effort, the greatest resistance to change is not fear of change but fear of loss. At St Fleur Consulting, we use the science of intrinsic vs. extrinsic motivation, as well as research on the psychological stages of change and on fixed vs. growth mindset to identify the root causes of stakeholder fears. We break through stakeholder resistance to change by giving language to what the person might lose but, even more importantly, what the stakeholder stands to gain through the change process.
Business Process Improvement
Waste occurs when staff deviate from the original or ideal process design. While this deviation can occur for several reasons (i.e., the process is not well understood so staff create a workaround) the cost to the organization is always significant. At St Fleur Consulting, we analyze business processes to identify areas where we can improve efficiency and effectiveness. Then recommend or implement changes within the processes to realize these improvements in productivity or cost efficiency.
