EDI Workshop Offerings — How They Work

EDI workshops prepare a community for structural and cultural changes by moving individuals from knowledge and awareness to behavior chance and action.

Who should participate?: 
A stakeholder is defined as any person who contributes to an effort or derails it. As such, every stakeholder at your company should participate in becoming versed in EDI.

How long do workshops last?
Ideal length for an in-person workshop is 2-3 hours. 
Ideal length for virtual workshop is one to 1-2 hours.
Workshops can be tailored to 1 hour.

What are the delivery methods?
Virtually or in Person.

Service Offerings at the Micro Level

At the micro level, the strategic roadmap addresses two (2) levers that will enable your employees to contribute optimally to the the aspirational EDI culture and structure: Motivation and Ability.

Service Offerings at the Meso Level

In any organization, there are several micro cultures (e.g., communication culture, performance culture, power and hierarchy culture, etc.) that, when combined, create the organization’s dominant culture. At the meso level, the strategic roadmap puts into place two of the most critical components that impact how people experience the Greentown Labs culture: The Performance culture (aka Technical Capital) and Psychological Capital (aka inter and intra-personal dynamics.

At the macro level, the strategic roadmap address
four (4) levers that will enable a supportive
environment that enable Greentown Lab’s employees to actualize its aspirational EDI culture and infrastructure:

  1. ​One-year EDI strategy

  2. Leadership development plan

  3. EDI Integration into policies and practices

  4. Affinity spaces and resource groups

EDI Trainings Offered


​Understanding Racial Equity
Provides a comprehensive foundational understanding of race and racial equity by introducing key concepts, incl. historical and societal frameworks in which race operate.

Understanding Social Identities
Provides a comprehensive foundational understanding of social identities and the context for how groups accumulate social advantages and disadvantages.

Intersectionality
Provides an understanding of overlapping identities and the interaction between different power structures leaving learners better equipped to identify the impact of overarching power structures and address inequities in the workplace.

​Microaggressions: What They Are, How to Avoid Them
Building on Implicit Bias, this workshop introduces learners to microaggression concepts and its impact on an organization’s EDI culture. The workshop also proposes provides effective strategies for doing so.

​Implicit Bias
Provides a comprehensive foundational understanding of how implicit/unconscious bias gets formed and manifested in the workplace. Learners will practice disrupting their own implicit biases.


Compliance Trainings Offered

Compliance training ensures that GL socializes the policies and procedures governing its operations while meeting the requirements for liability insurance and accreditations.

Anti Sexual Harassment
This training helps to ensure that GL’s employers comply with OSHA requirements for a safe and productive workplace and enable GL to comply with the Civil Rights Act and other federal laws.

Understanding Title IX
This Title IX training increases awareness of sexual misconduct and teaches individuals how to address, report and prevent different forms of sexual misconduct.

Data Privacy and Security
Provides a foundational understanding of data protection and employees’ responsibilities with respect to data protection.

This course helps leaders understand the mechanics of the organization in a way that leads to decisions making that is data driven, timely, and high quality.

Becoming a Successful Manager
From sharing an inspiring vision to setting expectations with direct reports, this course helps managers acquire the skills to successfully create and motivate high-performing teams.

Critical Facilitation Skills for Leaders
This course helps leaders harness their team’s strengths by using their enhanced  interpersonal and observational skills to effectively deal with disruptions and dysfunctions and guide their groups to optimal results.

Communication: Framing A Positive and Inspiring Narrative
This course helps leaders develop a savvy communication approach, that is both timely and meaningful, to build trust through respectful and authentic communication.
