A EDI strategy is a mechanism through which systemic issues, and the ingrained ways that things are done in an organization, can be challenged and changed. When done well, a EDI strategy allows an organization to create spaces for people to examine their beliefs, provide staff with ways to adopt new behaviors, and develop more inclusive policies to build a belonging culture.
To support your efforts to achieve these aims, Sandra St Fleur will partner with your stakeholders to develop its EDI Strategy for change at three levels:
Strategic planning at the micro level: Changes an individual’s knowledge, attitude, behavior, and self-concept
Strategic planning at the meso level: Changes in interpersonal interactions allowing a different cultural to evolve
Strategic planning at the macro level: Changes in the practices of the institution and its micro communities
Dimensions of Success
Organizations tend to measure success through a single metric: Results. Yet, individuals (the life source and human capital of any organization) measure success across three dimensions:
Results Did we achieve what we set out to do?
Process Was the pathway to “Results” clear to everyone involved?
Relationship If I had to do it all again, with the same people, would I do it?
